Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has highly valued the cooperation between the Indonesian and Cambodian armies.
The Premier made the appreciation while receiving a courtesy visit from Indonesian Defence Minister Prabowo Subianto, at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this afternoon, according to Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to Hun Sen.
Subianto conveyed greeting from his president to Techo Hun Sen and noted the rapid development of Cambodia compared to his previous visit five years ago.
Subianto informed the Prime Minister of his visit to the 911 Special Forces Command, during which he decided to provide scholarships to Cambodian cadets to study at the Indonesian national defence school in the fields of health, pharmacy, engineering, mathematics and science.
The Indonesian defence minister said he also met with the president of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the exchange of training of martial arts to each other’s armed personnel.
Hun Sen thanked the Indonesian side for the scholarship and supported the exchange of training of martial arts, stressing that this is the culture of cooperation between the two armies. Heng Panha – AKP
